Maggie has been the most challenging dog I have owned. She was in such BAD shape when I got her, so shy, it took a year before she would let me pet her, health wise she had heartworm, hooks, whips, and Lyme's disease from ticks. She came from a bad breeder in Arkansas, she cost me a lot of money to get her healthy, mentally it has taken years to get her to come around. Luckily it is not genetic, just abuse and unsocializing, she has Wonderful, super friendly outgoing puppies, not shy at all. I am so happy she is finally coming out of her shell, she is a wonderful dog and an excellent mom, I have a real soft spot for her since she has been thru so much, she has taken the longest to come around
